Christopher Kowalski, MD, FACS

Dr. Kowalski was born in Pennsylvania and has ongoing deep roots in the state that go back over 4 generations. He grew up outside of Washington, DC where his father was a physician at Walter Reed Hospital and then in private practice. His father instilled in him a love of medicine and passion for surgery.
Dr. Kowalski attended Temple University School of Medicine then completed a general surgery residency at The Washington Hospital Center. He then pursued a fellowship at St Peter’s University Hospital for advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. There he trained with several of the pioneers of advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery.
Dedicated training with the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System further refined his minimally invasive techniques for treatment of general surgical conditions; especially inguinal and ventral hernia repairs.
He began his practice as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Temple University School of Medicine and Temple University Hospital. Following this, Dr. Kowalski went on to join a private surgical practice outside Kansas City, returning to Pennsylvania after the birth of his daughter to be closer to family in PA.
In 2015, he then joined the medical staff of St Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. Dr. Kowalski was fortunate to establish a close and collaborative practice relationship with Dr. Michael Jacobelli who has had a long established general surgery and vein practice in Bucks County.
Dr. Kowalski provides traditional, robotic, laparoscopic, general and varicose vein surgery/treatments in an office based, outpatient and inpatient setting at:

Care Philosophy
My extensive experience in general surgery, fellowship training and subsequent specialization in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, provides me an ability to offer an expert, comprehensive and personalized treatment for each patient.
My goal is to develop the best surgical/procedural/cosmetic outcome(s) for a patient with the lowest complications, least pain and fastest recovery, this guides my practice on a daily basis.
In addition to expertise with the most advanced surgical techniques available for patient care, I have been fortunate to be closely associated with a top-notch, faith-based hospital that has a full complement of dedicated medical specialists, nurses, 24 hour critical care support, physical therapists, pharmacists, volunteers, nutritionists and support staff.
If any of these resources should be needed, I can assure a patient that they will be readily available and coordinated for them though my office.
